JUNE 1, 2017

By Connie Barlow

It's "cowboy night" at the Lompoc Pops on Monday evening, June 19th and featured in the second half of the program will be the ever-popular vocal and instrumental quartet known as "Territorial Law." Back by popular demand, they'll be performing audience requested selections, this time accompanied by the full orchestra. Having patterned themselves after the famous "Sons of the Pioneers," they're best known for their renditions of "Cool Water," "Peggy Sue," and "Tumbling Tumbleweeds."

The POPS ORCHESTRA is a non-profit entity composed of approximately 50 of the finest musicians from up and down the California Central Coast. Under the direction of Dr. Brian Asher Alhadeff, THE POPS presents four concerts each season which often include professional and semi-professional soloists. In addition, extremely talented and accomplished instrumental musicians are sometimes invited as guest artists and on occasion, local chorus and dance groups are also add to the program.
