For this concert the Pops is offering our patrons the unique opportunity to again enjoy a cameo appearance of the highly acclaimed and beloved “AGIN BROTHERS / TERRITORIAL LAW” vocal and instrumental quintet. Father Hal Agin was once a member of the famous “Sons of the Pioneers,” originally founded by Roy Rogers. Eventually Hal introduced his two sons Bill and Dick to the cowboy sounds that had become a part of the growing American heritage and from that point on the two Agin Brothers knew that music and entertaining was their calling.
Eventually new members came along, and so “TERRITORIAL LAW” was born and added to “THE AGIN BROTHERS.” The group has performed with top names in the music industry including “The Charles Daniels Band,” “Exile,” “Buck Owens,” and “Sammy Kershaw.” Band members include John Payne as lead guitarist, Owen Johnston on bass, Ben Contreras playing on drums and, of course, brothers Bill and Dick Agin. The audience will be treated to three old-time favorites, one of which will be “Cool Water,” originally sung by Vaughn Monroe and the “Sons of the Pioneers” in 1948. For a change of pace, they will also perform a Beach Boys Medley.
